Magic With The Magician Tarot
This is No. 2 in our series about magical workings with our favorite tarot cards. The first in the series was about my personal favorite tarot card, and the others in the series will each be about one of your favorite tarot cards (from a poll I did with my Instagram followers).
So, today, I have three different ideas for you. If you like any of them, please follow me on Instagram and direct message me there to let me know!
How to Solve a Problem Using The Magician Tarot Card
Take your favorite image of The Magician card (remember, you can always print out one that you find on a Google image search), hold it in both hands, and tell The Magician about your problem.
Explain, in as much detail as you can, why this problem or issue has been so difficult to resolve, and how it’s affecting you. Ask The Magician if she will help you. Wait for a moment and listen until you feel a “yes.”
If you don’t feel a “yes,” ask if there’s something you need to do first before The Magician will agree to assist. Listen again, and if you “hear” an answer, follow the instructions (as long as what you hear doesn’t hurt you or anyone else, and it’s easily doable).
Once The Magician is ready to help, all you have to do is to place the card on or near something that symbolizes the problem.
Examples:
If it’s a problem with work, leave the card overnight on your closed laptop.
If it’s a money problem, place the card overnight in your wallet or on top of your bank statement or bookkeeping.
If it’s a love problem, place the card face-to-face with a picture of the person you’re having difficulties with. You get the idea.
In the morning, retrieve The Magician from wherever she was, hold her in your hands and grab a pen and your journal or a piece of paper.
Have a little meeting with The Magician and wait for her to tell you exactly what’s going on and what you can do to fix it (or, to heal the situation, or to move on from it).
Connecting With Your Inner Magician
Take a witchy photo of yourself that feels very powerful to you, where you’re channeling the most powerful, most skillful, and wildest part of your being.
Now you have your own personal image of The Magician right there in your phone. Now you can consult your own higher being, face to face, whenever you need her.
TikTok is great for this — use any of their photo effects by pressing the + button to create a new video, then press the effects button on the lower left of your screen.
You can try out each effect without even recording a video. When you find one you love, just keep screenshotting yourself until you have an image that’s you . . . as . . . The Magician.
Find Your Own Magic Wand
What makes a magician a magician? One of the key elements in The Magician card is her wand, raised into the air. Have you ever found a magic wand of your own? Try it.
Wands I like and use are:
a bay-tree branch (not polished, not zhuzhed up; just a slender branch from a bay bush),
a selenite wand,
and a chunky clear quartz tower.
I use the bay branch to bless all of my work tools for success (and bless myself as well).
I use the selenite wand to detangle and fluff-up my auric field.
And I use the quartz tower to write runes and symbols into my magic screen (a screen I imagine to be like a television screen in front of my face, where I create the day in the way I want it to be).
