How to Know if Your Spell Craft Is Working

So many people give up on magic because they feel it just doesn't work. Or they think that maybe you have to be some kind of psychic, witchy person for it to work.

Here's my 3:3:3:3 system for deciding if your spell is working, and if not, what to do next.

3 times a day. 3 days for a sign. 3 weeks for movement. 3 months for completion.

What does this mean?

Once you create a spell that you hope will help shift your current reality to a new reality that you prefer, you'll work that spell for at least 60 seconds, three different times a day. (If you’re doing physical spellwork, you may not be near your working, but think about it, visualize it, say your affirmation/incantation . . . at least three times a day.)

Once you’re regularly working your spell, here are the three signposts to check in with, so you know whether it’s doing what it needs to do for you.

3 Days for a Sign

Somewhere in the first three days that you work your spell, look for a sign that it is working for you.

This likely won't be a result yet, but it will be a positive feeling, a connection to the spell you're working, seeing your lucky number (or a number significant to your spell) in your path, seeing affirmations in the form of signs or license plates . . . but it will be something personal and significant to you.

This is your sign to keep going. It's working.

3 Weeks for Movement

If you received a sign in the first three days, you continue to work your spell three times a day, every day.

What if you miss a day? Just get back on track as soon as you can.

Spells are living things. You're creating a personal relationship with the work you're doing.

Just as you wouldn't ignore a roommate or a family member, you're building a friendship and personal connection with your spell -- if you want it to keep working for you.

During these three weeks, if it's working, you'll feel movement toward your goal, or positive momentum building. There'll be signs that things are changing for the better.

If you’re feeling it’s no longer working, be sure that you’re still working your spell three different times a day, giving it all the focus, love, and attention that you gave back when you first started the spell.

3 Months for Completion

If you are still connected to your spell after the first three weeks, and still feeling positive momentum, you continue to keep working your spell three times a day.

Continue to check in -- do you still feel it’s working (are you seeing microchanges, movements in the right direction)?

If not, are you still working your spell with the same focus and sincerity as when you started? If not, reconnect with it.

Your spell is a living thing, and it needs to feel your love.

After three months, look back at the specific goal you set for the spell. (If you worked with me to create it, I helped you to select an achievable goal and we created a magical working that you were excited about.)

Are you 80% of the way to the goal you set?

What measurable improvements in your life can you see, when you compare today with three months ago?

If you feel very satisfied, that means that this type of spell works very well for you, and you can apply the same type of working (with some alterations) to other things you'd like to change and improve in your life.

What if it didn't work?

It may need more time (but only if you still feel positive momentum).
It may not be the type of working that connects deeply enough with you. Time to try something else. (The goal is to find two or three types of spellcraft that will always work for you. Once you have those, you can feel confident in your ability to change life situations for the better.)

Always good to be thinking about:

Keep noticing objects or magical practices you're attracted to and remember them for future spellwork.
Notice where your superpowers tend to be in "regular life": Are you great with words, do you tend to feel energy coming from things when you touch them, do you respond strongly to color, do people love your cooking, are you musical . . .?
Whatever you tend to be praised for by others -- that's a magical ability that you can employ in your magic.
